I had a Thule canoe/kayak rack that I had used on my Jeep but I thought it wouldn't fit on my new Subaru so I went to Cartop.com to purchase a new rack. The salesman suggested I send in the old rack; he thought he could configure the old rack to fit. Sure enough that's what he did. I had to buy some "fittings" so the rack would work: a minor purchase compared to a whole new rack. I was pleased.

We had a Thule transport system with hull-a-ports for two kayaks installed on our 2007 Camry at Cartop.com this spring. The folks at Cartop.com were very helpful with helping us pick out a system that would work for us. Installation took a little long because they were really busy but they made sure that I could put the kayak on by myself and get it strapped down safely.

My husband and I are both very pleased with this system. It is so easy to put the kayaks off and on we can be in the water in minutes (depending on how long it takes to park the car). An added bonus is that with our roof top kayak rack and our trailer hitch bike rack I never have trouble finding my car!

As a retirement-age woman who hadn't paddled much since my teenage years, I needed more than a few pointers when I decided to take up kayaking. I needed a way to carry my boat, so I was especially pleased to be shown how to properly use the Thule roof rack when I couldn't quite figure out from the diagrams how everything worked. Returns have been easy and the one time I found a defective item, they replaced it right away.

I am 69 years old and in relatively good health but I do have a little arthritis in my shoulders plus I drive a minivan so I need to lift my Necky kayak higher than those driving a car. I looked at other options but decided to spend the money and purchase a Thule Hullavator. It is the best purchase I made for my kayaking hobby. It is so much easier to load and unload my boat with the Hullavator. I only need to lift my boat waist high to put it into the carrier and most of the tie down can be done before the boat goes on top on my vehicle. The other investment I made that makes loading and unloading easier and that is a Harken Hoister Boat Lift. I store my boat on the ceiling of my garage and the Hoister lift makes it so easy to store the boat. Now it is so easy to take the boat out of storage and put it on the car that I do not dread the job. The Hullavator is not cheap but if loading and unloading my boat is to difficult I do not do it as ofter.

Cartop.com always has the best racks and accessories for our kayaks, canoes and bikes. Whenever we get a new car, we check with the rack experts. We are partial to Yakima racks but we also checked out Thule. We got a new rack that is easy to put on and get out to paddle or bike.
