Here are some of the testimonies from our customers. We love 'em, and as you can see, they love us.
"I recently checked out the options for my Honda CR-V on the Yakima web site. I called Cartop.com to find out if they had the items in stock. They told me they have a better suggestion. Instead of using Q-Clips they suggested the Control Towers and Landing Pads. I'm extremely happy that they did. I can easily remove the towers and bars when not in use. The guys doing the installation explained everything to me as they were installing it. I barely had time to finish reading recent email messages on my smart phone when they were done. The installation was fast; and best of all free. I highly recommend Cartop.com for any Yakima products.
I had a Thule canoe/kayak rack that I had used on my Jeep but I thought it wouldn't fit on my new Subaru so I went to Cartop.com to purchase a new rack. The salesman suggested I send in the old rack; he thought he could configure the old rack to fit. Sure enough that's what he did. I had to buy some "fittings" so the rack would work: a minor purchase compared to a whole new rack. I was pleased.
Years ago, I was becoming interested in kayaking, but needed a way to haul it. The guys at Cartop.com were willing to show me the quickest and most secure way to strap my kayak on my new rack; this information was priceless to me. The fact I did not have to ask for this information and their willingness to take the time to help me learn how to do it correctly is what sets Cartop.com apart from anyone else. Months later, I came back to the store because I had purchase a new car and needed "parts" to get my rack to fit the new vehicle. With in minutes, parts were ordered and they arrived within a few days. Once again, excellent service.
I recently bought a Thule Hullavator rack set up from Cartop.com. The rack was professionally installed on site by Jim who did a marvelous job. The set up works perfect for a old paddler like myself. I can easily load and unload my kayak effortlessly. Why buy from Cartop.com? They are knowledgeable, listen and always back their guarantees.
After purchasing a solo canoe, I needed a new system to be able to safely transport 2 kayaks and a canoe on my Toyota 4 Runner. I stopped by Cartop.com and talked to several employees. They were able to find the information I needed almost immediately and presented me with several different options. They talked me through the pros of each system and were very informative and sensitive to my questions. After deciding on a rack system, they were able to install it on the spot while I stepped out for lunch. I could not ask for better customer service: they are knowledgeable, efficient and very approachable. Thank you!
We had a Thule transport system with hull-a-ports for two kayaks installed on our 2007 Camry at Cartop.com this spring. The folks at Cartop.com were very helpful with helping us pick out a system that would work for us. Installation took a little long because they were really busy but they made sure that I could put the kayak on by myself and get it strapped down safely.
My husband and I are both very pleased with this system. It is so easy to put the kayaks off and on we can be in the water in minutes (depending on how long it takes to park the car). An added bonus is that with our roof top kayak rack and our trailer hitch bike rack I never have trouble finding my car!
On the two occasions we asked you guys to help us pick out our Yakima racks to haul our two kayaks, we found the service to be outstanding: installed in an efficient manner is reasonable time while we waited. Thanks for the help!
As a retirement-age woman who hadn't paddled much since my teenage years, I needed more than a few pointers when I decided to take up kayaking. I needed a way to carry my boat, so I was especially pleased to be shown how to properly use the Thule roof rack when I couldn't quite figure out from the diagrams how everything worked. Returns have been easy and the one time I found a defective item, they replaced it right away.
I purchased my first Yakima rack from Cartop.com. The following winter, I hit some black ice up north and, to make a long story short, ended up upside down alongside the road. My Subaru was totaled, but miraculously my Yakima rack and I escaped unscathed. When I replaced the car, we had a little trouble getting the Yakima rack adjusted on the new Subaru. We brought it to Cartop.com, and your staff jumped into action and had me all set in no time flat. I really appreciated the help in getting back on track.
When a close friend got married and all us bridesmaids decided to chip in to get the happy couple a Yakima rack for their wedding gift, there was no doubt as to where to go. We appreciated the friendly help we got and were very impressed by how quickly your staff was able to install the rack for us.
The guys at the Cartop.com are the best in town - knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! I've had only great experiences - and plenty of them!
I am 69 years old and in relatively good health but I do have a little arthritis in my shoulders plus I drive a minivan so I need to lift my Necky kayak higher than those driving a car. I looked at other options but decided to spend the money and purchase a Thule Hullavator. It is the best purchase I made for my kayaking hobby. It is so much easier to load and unload my boat with the Hullavator. I only need to lift my boat waist high to put it into the carrier and most of the tie down can be done before the boat goes on top on my vehicle. The other investment I made that makes loading and unloading easier and that is a Harken Hoister Boat Lift. I store my boat on the ceiling of my garage and the Hoister lift makes it so easy to store the boat. Now it is so easy to take the boat out of storage and put it on the car that I do not dread the job. The Hullavator is not cheap but if loading and unloading my boat is to difficult I do not do it as ofter.
Cartop.com always has the best racks and accessories for our kayaks, canoes and bikes. Whenever we get a new car, we check with the rack experts. We are partial to Yakima racks but we also checked out Thule. We got a new rack that is easy to put on and get out to paddle or bike.
