Face the facts. Kayaks are big, bulky and a little cumbersome. Loading one solo canoe can be tricky, especially if it's a little windy. Not all of the Cartopians are tall, nor do we all have super-light kayaks.
Sometimes a load assisting mechanism makes the difference between being able to go for a paddle or staying home while your kayak gets a little more dusty. It that sense, it's the best investment you can make in your rack system.
